Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you act as a consumer, i.e., purchase goods or services outside the scope of your professional or commercial activity, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within a certain period of time without giving a specific reason. Here's how it works:

Your right of withdrawal

You may cancel the concluded contract within 14 days of receiving the goods or, in the case of services, after the contract has been concluded, without having to provide any reasons. If your order arrives in multiple partial deliveries or items, the cancellation period begins on the day you receive the last item or delivery. For digital content that is not delivered on a physical storage medium (such as downloads or streaming services), the cancellation period also begins on the day the contract is concluded.

How you can revoke

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us, Revonik GmbH, of your decision. You can do this in various ways, such as by letter, fax, or email. We also offer a sample withdrawal form on our website that you can use, but it is not mandatory. Once you have informed us of your decision, we will send you a confirmation. It is important that you contact us before the 14-day withdrawal period has expired.

What happens after revocation

After you cancel the contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, including the costs of standard delivery. This refund will be made as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after we receive your cancellation, using the same means of payment you originally used. If you have expressly chosen a more expensive delivery method than standard delivery, we will not refund the additional costs.

If you have requested that services begin within the cancellation period, you must pay us a reasonable amount for the services already provided up to the cancellation date.

You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately, and no later than 14 days after your cancellation. You will bear the costs of returning the goods. You are only liable for any loss of value of the goods if this loss of value is due to handling of the goods that goes beyond checking their quality, properties, and functioning.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

There are situations in which the right of withdrawal does not apply or expires prematurely. These include:

The supply of goods which, for health or hygiene reasons, are not suitable for return once their seal has been broken.

The supply of sound or video recordings or computer software in sealed packaging, if the seal has been removed after delivery.

The supply of goods that have been specially made for you or are clearly tailored to your personal needs.

For services, if these have been fully provided and you have previously expressly agreed that we may begin performance and you were aware that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the contract had been fully fulfilled.
